Product Description:Â
Discover L.12.12, a new fragrance by Lacoste, the house of famous crocodile. This fresh and vibrant scent is inspired by life on the seaside and will be right at home during the day as well as the evening. The new L.12.12 Rouge by Lacoste which was launched in 2012, masterfully combines fruity notes and white flowers with spicy woody notes at the heart. This bold and masculine scent is blended with deep and enveloping base notes for a luxurious and elegantly masculine composition.
A woody floral perfume that blends citrus, spicy, and fruity notes, Lacoste L.12.12 Rouge has top notes of mandarin orange, mango, and tea; middle notes of black pepper, ginger, cardamom; and base notes of acacia woody violet. The bottle was inspired by the architecture of Lacoste's Paris headquarters building.
The numbers in the L.12.12 collection all refer to the height of an iceberg. 6 inches below the surface. 12 below 6. 12 is Lacoste's most meaningful number, because it represents how close the wearer is to the soul of the brand. And .12.12—"Red" is Lacoste's most iconic fragrance, because it serves as a tribute to the house that helped create its identity.
About The Brand:Â
Lacoste's signature Lacoste crocodile logo was first used in 1933 when Rene Lacoste, a famous French tennis player and winner of the Davis Cup together with his friend Andre Gillier, wanted to create a company which sold sporting articles. He decided to use the crocodile as his logo because he was often called "the alligator". When he also invented a new tennis racket, he used the design of the crocodile head to produce his patented stringing machine, thus began the Lacoste underwear and sports clothing brand. In 1952 Lacoste hired Michel Dumas as chief designer.
Lacoste is an internationally recognized clothing company that produces high quality clothing, perfume, leather goods, watches, and sunglasses. Lacoste peaked worldwide popularity in the 1970s and 1980s, when it was patronized by the likes of Andy Warhol and Elvis Presley. Its unmistakable green crocodile logo can be seen on t-shirts, polo shirts, shoes, hats, shorts, jackets, bags among other things.
