Crown Perfumery was a respected and innovative fragrance house established in 1872. The corset maker’s clients needed smelling salts to help combat fainting. This British company was highly successful throughout the late 1800s leading up to the first World War. The company was closed in 1939 after losing its focus on creating unique scents. You’ll love the Clive Christian fragrance line. Apply in the creases of your skin and neck then let your own body warmth intensify the scent. After the first application, avoid rubbing or dabbing skin as this breaks down the fragrance causing it to wear off more quickly. If you prefer placing fragrance on your wrists, be sure to reapply after frequent hand-washing as this tends to rinse off the scent –especially in warm water.
