About The Brand:
The Atkinson brothers were the first to produce and market toiletry and perfumery products commercially. They own a factory at Rotherhithe in South London, and employed only the best workers: sales staff, chemists, druggists, perfumers, even a bear keeper to produce an Atkinson's pomade from bear's grease. In 1832 Atkinson's Cologne Absolue received a prestigious gold medal from the Society of Arts. In 1856 James Atkinson died and his sons Edward and Henry stepped into their father's shoes.
