Amouroud is a premium range of high-quality fragrances inspired by an encounter with the tree of life , otherwise known as Bois de Oud. This exclusive range is crafted using precious materials such as Indian oud, Indonesian patchouli and particularly rare amber which adds warmth and sensuality to the composition.
The Bois d'Orient fragrance opens with a burst of sweet, spicy, and ambery notes. The top notes of the fragrance are cinnamon, black currant and bergamot, blended with middle notes of ylang-ylang, galbanum, tuberose and Turkish rose. Base notes give Bois D'Orient a woody oriental scent with Peru balsam, patchouli, amber, agarwood (oud) and vetiver.
Bois d'Orient (translates to wood from the orient) is described as an olfactory journey into the heart of the Middle East, like walking through a spice bazaar. The liberal use of rare ingredients, precious woods and musks build layers of warm sensuality that transport the wearer to places far away; this is what Amouroud does best. The brand was created by the Tunisian perfumer Moncef Mimoun in 2000. Firmly based in Bardo, Tunisia, Amouroud is the first artisanal plant-based perfume house; its creations are inspired by the scents of nature and its diverse forms. Amouroud obtains all its raw materials from Tunisia or neighboring countries. The traditional techniques give way to highly innovative technological solutions, all aimed at sparing Mother Earth's resources.
