Santal is one of the more mature-styled fragrances in the Elie Saab line of fragrances. It's got some decent woodsy notes, an herbal side that gives it some contrast, and some citrus elements that really keep the fragrance light and airy. I've heard people say that it smells like wood shavings or pencil shavings, which is probably the cedar note interacting with your olfactory system.
The elegant essence is a masterful blend of fresh citrus notes blended with Indian sandalwood and vetiver. Top notes of Osmanthus and fresh cardamom create a sparkling sweet layer, while precious heart notes of Indian sandalwood and Virginia cedarwood create an intense woody presence. Base notes of Vetiver roots soften the intense effect of the fragrance to unveil the texture of this sophisticated scent.
The bottles were designed by Sylvie de France with the shapes inspired by the most commonly used design techniques in printing, and the deep colors unite to create a highly attractive visual effect.
