Kenneth "Ken"zo Takada was a Japanese fashion designer of French birth, known for his use of bold colors and unique patterns. In 1994, Takada designed a collection based on what he called "Japograms" Asian images redrawn in a Western style. Often described as one of the leading fashion designers of the 1980s, he has launched his own brand, Kenzo Takada Incproducing his first womenswear collection under the label's name. Flower by Kenzo is a floral perfume for women, first created by the Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada in 1986. It was first marketed as "un eau d'amour" (a water of love), before being renamed, but it is generally still referred to by that name. The original perfume was the first scent to contain ylang-ylang, which is now an important scent ingredient. Flower by Kenzo contains notes of lemon, bergamot, rose, jasmine, tuberose, lily-of-the-valley, Ylang Ylang and sandalwood.
